Danielle Riposati is the founder and principal of Gravitas Communications, a boutique communications consulting firm specializing in media and presentation skills coaching. Danielle is passionate about working with clients to develop compelling narratives and communicate them with impact. She leverages innovative products and services, thought leadership, corporate social responsibility initiatives and unique employee stories to help organizations and executives raise their profile, engage with targeted audiences, differentiate themselves in the marketplace and build reputational capital.
Danielle has coached countless executives on media and presentation skills, helping them communicate with poise, presence and impact. Her communications training clients have included international consumer product companies, global pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions, broadcasting corporations, publishing companies, not-for-profit organizations and government agencies.
Prior to founding Gravitas, Danielle was a Partner at Canada’s largest communications firm, NATIONAL Public Relations. During her 14-year tenure, she provided strategic counsel to organizations in the public and private sector on a host of issues, including labour relations, product recalls and corporate restructurings. She stewarded large scale events, including the Art Gallery of Ontario’s $500 million transformation re-opening. She managed national and international media campaigns, including the grand opening of Vaughan Mills shopping centre. She was responsible for strategic communications for the Transportation Safety Board of Canada’s release of the report into the crash of Swissair Flight 111 – the largest, most complex transportation investigation ever undertaken.
She holds an Honours degree in French and Sociology from the University of Toronto, and an Honours certificate in Corporate Communications from Seneca College.
Danielle has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences and has appeared on national television commenting on communications issues. She served on the faculty of the Directors College, a joint venture between The deGroote School of Business and the Conference Board of Canada. She speaks French and Italian.
